Alanland

I’ll be leaving Japan to go home for a one month holiday in a couple of weeks. I’ve been telling the kindergarten kids that I’ll be going home to “Airurando” which is the Japanese for Ireland. Of course, 5 or 6 year old kids have never heard of this far away country. In one class I could hear one of the kids in the back muttering a loud “Heeee! Alanlando! Sugoi! Alan sensei is going to Alanlando!”

Fun comments like this are a daily occurrence and always arouse great laughter.
